Allow us to introduce FTC Team 14503: The Robo Sapiens, a robotics team consisting of 4 high school school students and 5 middle students- Aarav Garg, Aarav Mehta, Aryan Ganglani, Kavish Mehta, Neel Heblikar, Rohan Dharia, Deven Bali, Videet Mehta, and Ameya Apte attending various schools in the Greater Houston Area. We are participating in FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). FTC is a program designed by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) to inspire middle and high school students interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). There are about 600 FTC teams in Texas and about 4000 across America.
Our team has placed multiple times as finalists in the state of Texas and, last season(Freight Frenzy), placed top 10 in the world at FIRST's annual World Championship after reaching the semifinal round. We earned inspire award at regionals and will be competing at world's once again this season (Powerplay).
All of us are constantly working hard, to build and code a robot that we will use in the First Tech Challenge (FTC). This will give everyone an experience with building robots. We also want to spread robotics, coding, and gracious professionalism throughout our community.
One of the most important aspects of FIRST is outreach, or spreading STEM and robotics to the greater community. We have pursued multiple large-scale outreach events during our time in FTC.
